The Northern Vibe Project puts it back. We are an independent electoral platform, built in Halifax, that models all 343 federal ridings from polling and fundamentals and explains, in plain language, what the model sees. No spin. Show the work.

This newsletter is the written layer, and it runs two series.

The 343 takes the ridings one at a time. Each profile follows four beats: the riding as a place, the member who represents it, the model’s call, and the demographic anchor that explains the politics: the one fact about who lives there that makes the vote make sense. National numbers tell you who is winning; The 343 tells you who is representing.

Field Notes goes deep instead of narrow: long-form pieces that use the same data to work through the structural stories underneath the horserace: the housing squeeze, the 905, the Quebec question, the realignment of the Prairies.
